The number that called or messaged you, the business or account involved, or the website where a chat took place.
When it happened
The date, time and time zone of the call or message.
What happened
Describe the interaction in your own words. Let us know if contact continued after you asked it to stop.
Any evidence you have
Screenshots, message copies or call details can help. These are optional; send whatever you have.
How we can reach you
Include an email address or another way to contact you if we need more information.
We use the contact information you provide only to handle your report, as described in our Privacy Policy.
What happens next
We review every report and investigate the traffic against our Acceptable Use Policy and Fair Use Policy.
Depending on what we find, we may:
- Warn the customer or require changes to their agent, campaign or practices.
- Rate-limit traffic or remove phone numbers or messaging campaigns.
- Suspend or terminate the customer's account.
- Cooperate with carriers, messaging providers and authorities where appropriate.
Privacy and legal constraints mean we cannot always share the outcome of an investigation.
Reporting guidance
What you can report
We accept reports from anyone, including recipients of unwanted communications, businesses and security researchers. Reports we want to hear about include:
- Unwanted or unlawful calls or texts, including contact that continues after you opted out or asked not to be called.
- Spam or bulk unsolicited messages.
- Fraud or scam attempts.
- Phishing or smishing: calls or messages that try to trick you into revealing passwords, financial details or other personal information.
- Impersonation of a person, business or government agency.
- Harassment, threats or other abusive behavior.
- Malicious or illegal content produced by an AI agent.
- A suspected compromised Assistable account.
Stopping unwanted calls and texts
Businesses using Assistable are required to honor opt-out requests. You can reply STOP to an SMS to opt out of future texts from that sender, or ask to be placed on the caller's do-not-call list during a call.
If contact continues after you opt out, report it to us. Continued contact after an opt-out violates our Terms of Service and may violate laws such as the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
Who is responsible for the traffic
Assistable Machine Learning, Inc. provides the platform. The businesses using it are the caller and sender of record for the communications they initiate. Under our Terms of Service, they are responsible for obtaining required consent, honoring opt-outs and complying with the laws that apply to their calls and messages.
How we work to prevent abuse
We apply KYC review to customer accounts, require A2P 10DLC campaign registration for applicable SMS traffic, provide do-not-call (DNC) scrubbing for outbound campaigns, and operate honeypot detection to identify abusive traffic patterns early. No prevention system catches everything, which is why reports from recipients matter.
